Pattabhi Jois im 20. Jahrhundert entwickelt wurde. Die Wurzeln dieses Yogastils gehen jedoch auf alte Schriften und Praktiken zur\u00fcck, und die \"Legende\" ist, dass Jois und sein Lehrer Sri T. Krishnamacharya ihre Techniken aus einer antiken Textsammlung namens \"Yoga Korunta\" bezogen haben.<\/p>\n<p>Der Name \"Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga\" setzt sich aus zwei Hauptkomponenten zusammen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\"Ashtanga\" bedeutet \"acht Glieder\" auf Sanskrit und bezieht sich auf die acht Aspekte des Yoga-Pfades, die in den Yoga-Sutras von Patanjali beschrieben sind. Diese acht Aspekte sind: Yama (ethische Prinzipien), Niyama (Selbstdisziplin), Asana (K\u00f6rperhaltung), Pranayama (Atemkontrolle), Pratyahara (Zur\u00fcckziehung der Sinne), Dharana (Konzentration), Dhyana (Meditation) und Samadhi (Erleuchtung bzw.\u00a0 Erkenntnis).<\/li>\n<li>\"Vinyasa\" steht f\u00fcr die Synchronisation von Bewegung und Atmung. In der Ashtanga Vinyasa Praxis bedeutet dies, dass jede Bewegung mit einem Atemzug synchronisiert wird. Vinyasas dienen als \u00dcberg\u00e4nge zwischen den Asanas und als Methode, den K\u00f6rper aufzuw\u00e4rmen und Energie zu erzeugen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Die traditionelle Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga-Praxis ist in sechs Hauptserien organisiert, die jeweils eine spezielle Abfolge von Asanas haben:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Primary Series (Yoga Chikitsa) - fokussiert auf Ausrichtung und entgiftet den K\u00f6rper.<\/li>\n<li>Intermediate Series (Nadi Shodana) - reinigt das Nervensystem.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Series A, B, C und D (Sthira Bhaga) - diese Serien fordern fortgeschrittene Beweglichkeit und Kraft.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Einige charakteristische Merkmale von Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga sind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Die Praxis ist herausfordernd und dynamisch.<\/li>\n<li>Sie folgt einer festgelegten Sequenz von Asanas.<\/li>\n<li>Die Atmung ist tief und gleichm\u00e4\u00dfig, oft wird die \"Ujjayi\"-Atmungstechnik verwendet.<\/li>\n<li>Bandhas (Energieverschl\u00fcsse) und Drishtis (Blickpunkte) sind wesentliche Elemente der Praxis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga hat viele andere Stile beeinflusst und gepr\u00e4gt wie z.B. Vinyasa- und Power-Yoga, Jivamukti Yoga u.v.m.
